Hunter-Wolff Gallery is pleased to be the first Colorado gallery to offer Vicki Grant's distinctive sculptures. Her work is meticulous. She sculpts her form from porcelain, repetitively layers oil paints to obtain unique patinas, then carefully hand-attaches porcupine quills, fossils, stones, and shells, mounting the finished piece on solid slate.
This fine use of materials stems from her continuing background in design and architecture. Her objects reflect her appreciation of clean line and economy of form, yet the main focus of each piece is harbored in the center, and is often a chaotic artifact from nature. The aim is to draw the viewer in, engaging them intellectually and emotionally.
Grant graduated from the University of Maryland School of Architecture and has been a practicing architect for over 25 years. She has worked on a variety of commercial projects ranging from religious architecture to university laboratories.
Hunter-Wolff Gallery looks forward to sharing her amazing artwork with you. We ship to all corners of the world and happy to help you find the right size; i.e., 6x6, 12x12 or something else that works for your space.
