Americans With A Heart

No one likes to think about illness, especially the #1 killer in America. However, heart disease kills more than 870,000 Americans annually — men, women and children.  Maybe you know someone who suffers from heart disease or someone who was taken prematurely from your world because of cardiovascular disease.

Fighting this disease is a tough battle and takes immense dedication and the generosity of many. Every donation is important.

Tartan30x30To show their gratitude to their past supporters, the American Heart Association hosted an Exclusive Donor Appreciation Reception at Hunter-Wolff Gallery this week. It was a special evening. Although everyone enjoyed a beautiful evening mingling and making new friends, it was reassuring to know so many people are caring and committed to helping others.  Topping the evening off, artist John Sherman (Colorado Springs Neuroradiologist) generously offered one of his paintings as an incentive to boost donations during the evening.  To help with the fight, all proceeds will go directly to the American Heart Association—and perhaps go towards saving another life (maybe even yours).  Remember, by helping the American Heart Association, it’s possible to enjoy a healthier life free of cardiovascular diseases and stroke.  But their mission depends on volunteers and funding from thoughtful people like you and me.
