We seem to find talent just about everywhere but recognizing the cream of the crop takes a careful eye and painful attention to detail.  Recognized as a top team player and project manager in the high-tech field, Ruben Manuel also wears another hat that showers him with accolades.  He is one of a handful of truly fine jewelry designers destined for the big league.  Move over Mr. David Yurman.Jewlery Pictures - photo 003

Ruben is passionate about many things in life and designing men and women’s jewelry is at the top of his list.  After examining a handful of his signature pieces and custom designs, I knew I stirred up the cream of the crop. . .  and wanted a Ruben for myself.  If you love elegance, sparkle, brilliant color, and exquisite design, you need a “Ruben”.

A Ruben, aptly named after the designer, is a one-of-a-kind design in sterling silver featuring beautiful, high-quality gemstones and luxurious pearls for a “stop in your tracks” reaction.  Words can’t describe the feeling a woman gets from wearing a “Ruben” and we invite you to visit our website for a preview of our collection by Ruben Manuel Designs. Stop in to the gallery to feel a Ruben against your skin.  It’s delicious.

Laura and Sharon small

Sharon Wolff and Laura Reilly are scheduled for Gallery-Talk Here & Now January 23, 2010

Have you attended an art function wanting to meet the artist and shake their hand, but they were always surrounded by so many people you just missed out? Or maybe the artist you were hoping to meet just wasn’t there?

Hunter-Wolff Gallery is hosting quarterly Gallery Talks where you can meet the artist and shake their hand. Quarterly, a specific artist will be featured to talk about three or four art-related topics.  Guests will have the opportunity to speak directly to the artist. These events are more intimate and allow guests to become acquainted with the artist and their work and ask questions without the fan-fare of an Opening Reception.

We invite you to become familiar with our artists during upcoming Gallery Talks; the first being given by Impressionist Laura Reilly.  Not only is Laura a gallery favorite—she is highly sought after on a regional and international basis.  Come visit between 2-3 pm (right after a terrific lunch on the Avenue) on Saturday, January 23 and learn from a seasoned artist who has been successful in building an enviable reputation.  Her work speaks to a broad range of people with varying interests and backgrounds.  Warning:   You may leave with a new piece of art under your arm!

The Air Was Made of Gold 28 x 32Here and Now 12 x 12AutumnPath24x24Really Reilly, do you never sleep? This artist either has a motorized paint brush or she just never sleeps because she really cranks out the work.

Laura Reilly called me just before Christmas and asked me to come by her studio to pick out a few paintings to add to the gallery (something we do on a regular basis).  Since we just sold two of her larger pieces, adding a few new pieces was in order.  But I didn’t find a few pieces; I found a dozen that make up an incredible collection.  To whet your appetite, we urge you to look at our website (the images are larger) and visit the gallery when you get some free time.  But, don’t wait too long because these beauties will not last.  They are truly lovely, priced to sell,  and will make your space feel bright and warm!
