Donna Gordon Custom Blown Glass

Have you been burning up hours searching and searching for a perfect painting or piece of artwork?

We often hear someone confess he/she has been looking for months—even years—for a painting to love for a specific location.  Years of searching might seem extreme, but we know you are out there.  Sometimes available space requires a certain dimension and other times lighting issues are factors that can be addressed in a custom piece.

The solution is to identify an artist’s style of work you appreciate, then work with their representative.  Don’t be shy about asking for specific needs–whether it is size, color or shape. We have completed many custom requests and have many examples to show you. Most of Hunter-Wolff Gallery’s artists enjoy creating custom pieces based on client needs.  If you plan to place a piece of art in your home, why wait?  Stop searching, start asking, and get the ball rolling.

You can have the art you love now!

Caution to the Wind

I admit I like throwing caution to the wind sometimes and just hopping in the car to see where it takes me—hopefully to an art exhibit. With gas prices, what they are today, most of us are more diligent in planning our outings, but you can visit us online anytime without spending a penny for  gas.  If you are saving your tank of gas for something more pressing—like getting back and forth to work—spend  as much time as you like viewing our newest art online.

Early Morning Market, 16x8

We just posted “Early Morning Market” and “Enchanted Ride” by Laura Reilly. You can own both these pieces for less than what it costs to buy a new bike today.  If you would like to see other works by Laura, just click and browse or stop in and tell us what type of art let’s you throw caution to the wind.

Visit Hunter-Wolff Gallery

Friday a customer from California called to have a purchase express mailed overnight for a Saturday delivery.

What amazed me was the story he shared with me about his visit to our gallery and then trying to recall the information he needed after he returned home to contact us. He had misplaced our business card and other hand-out materials with our contact information.

Once he made a decision to purchase a beautiful necklace, he called a family member for the name of our street in Colorado Springs, and then used the satellite mapping system on Google to “walk” down our street until he found our store front. Above our windows and on the windows is the name of our gallery. After “walking” down W. Colorado Avenue and recognizing our storefront, he was able to easily find our website and contact information.

If you forget our name, Hunter-Wolff Gallery, you can take a “walk” and stroll down Colorado Avenue until you see our store front with the royal blue awning and red and gold sign above the windows. Try it. It’s fun. I’ll be at the door waving to you to come inside!

Welcome to Hunter-Wolff Gallery

Paris Impression by Laura Reilly
Paris Impression by Laura Reilly

Did you miss an opportunity to buy a piece of art you just cannot get out of your mind? Missing an opportunity to buy a piece of art you fell in love with is regrettable. Sometimes circumstances prevent purchasing art the moment you see it. It happens. It happens to everyone—and we agonize over not buying. Now it is gone. The image flashes in your mind but it is gone forever.

It is a lesson we all learn the hard way. The time to buy is that special moment when you connect with a piece of art. It is like anything you love; claim it or someone else will. If your inner voice whispers the timing is not right but your other senses shout, “it’s the perfect piece”, what do you do? Ask about layaway! Layaway is the perfect solution when cash is tight. It ensures your ownership for a lifetime of enjoyment.

On the other hand, what happens if you already missed your opportunity? Now you start following the artist’s activities, becoming more intimately aware of their collections and new work. If you fell in love with one piece, it is likely you will love other work they create. Visit their representative gallery; sign-up for newsletters and blogs; get on email announcements and become involved. For example, if you missed Laura Reilly’s wonderful Paris-inspired oils, you can easily learn what she creates weekly. Don’t miss another piece of artwork that moves you. There’s just no excuse.
