At the Helm

swolff82013bCelebrating 12 years as one of Colorado Springs top fine art galleries, meet Hunter-Wolff Gallery’s owner Sharon Wolff.   Supporting her and Hunter-Wolff Gallery are many artists and key staff members Pat Bellacicco, Art Director and pastel artists and Resident Artist Marlene Kort.  Like owner Sharon Wolff, they are knowledgeable and look forward to introducing you to the world of art at Hunter-Wolff Gallery.

Sharon Wolff is a respected entrepreneur and a Colorado Springs art dealer, nominated business champion of the year by the SBA. As the successful owner of Hunter-Wolff Gallery, she continues to grow her business among the largest concentration of galleries in the region. She says that her secret to success is listening carefully to her patrons, building relationships and delivering what she promises.

Known for her innate ability to identify and select the best of the best accomplished artists in the region has helped her deliver what patrons want. She promotes artists who have a minimum of ten years or more experience as a professional artist.  Wolff looks for not only the accomplished but also the “up and coming” emerging artists with unique creativity and the potential to take their success to the next level yet require her expertise for guidance to market and promote their work.

Originally from the east coast and a thirty year veteran in the corporate world, she did a “one-eighty” using her well-honed business skills and education to bring Colorado Springs an upscale fine art gallery neatly packaged in 2,000 square feet.  Offering original art for both the serious and casual collector, she has a sophisticated aesthetic sense well beyond hanging a painting at the right height. Her gallery beautifully showcases a balanced mix of mediums including hand blown glass, stone and bronze sculpture, rare wood turnings, fine silver and gem stone jewelry, decorative pottery and award-winning paintings classified as miniatures up to large-scale.

Propelled by a strong drive to succeed, an inherent business sense, and a “can-do” attitude, Wolff follows her business plan that she regularly revisits and modifies for optimum success. Since 2005, Wolff’s reputation and success has received the attention of the art community and its art lovers.  She apparently is able to generate a continuous stream of submissions from artists and artisans not only from the region but from states as far away as Illinois, Florida, and Vermont.  Wolff thrives on selecting and showcasing new talent and she enjoys mentoring young artists needing an edge to get the attention of collectors and galleries.  When asked what she would like to change in her day, she says she would like to better balance her time between family and the demands of building a solid business.  When not at her gallery, she is speaking at workshops or delivering informational presentations.

Achieving success in the competitive art business is a testament to the strength of her values.  Wolff is committed to providing her patrons with an enriched experience and the highest level of customer service.  Building a long-lasting relationship with its valued clients is the hallmark of Hunter-Wolff Gallery’s philosophy.
