These little ‘gems’ are especially difficult to just walk by without stopping to take a second look, touch the textured surface or feel the intricate weaving. What are they made of? In simple terms – Raku pottery and fiber. But these two amazing artists, husband and wife, don’t stop there. They add little gem stones, special coins, copper wire and hand-made copper charms that move and sway with the slightest breeze.

It’s amazing what four hands, 20 fingers, and an imagination that pushes the envelope can do together. I’m even more impressed by the fact that these two artists, Marc Jenesel and Karen Pierce, are happily married. And, almost as good as that–my gallery is located just minutes from their studio which makes it easy to transport their best work to my doorstep. Collectors love it too.

Right now, you can see how amazing their talent is and how unique all your artwork becomes with a little 3D accent like one of these pictured here. The glow pots are a must-have and will add a little beam of light to any dark corner—they glow with the lights on or off because of the special copper or gold leaf glaze applied to the interior of the Raku. Who needs candles?

Let us know what you think of Raku vessels topped off with fiber weavings and gem stones?
