Women especially cherish jewelry that can be enjoyed for years made by fine jewelry artisans. Jewelry, like no other gift, is symbolic and shows how much the Giver cares.

Gallery designs are unique and one-of-a-kind crafted to meet designers’ high standards. Consider collections that include pieces to match her personality or style fitting any occasion, dressy or casual, classic, bold, sophisticated, trendy, or elegant. When looking for a wonderful surprise to tie-up in pretty ribbons, consider shopping for her based on her favorite gem stone or color.

If you know she loves earrings or favors sterling pendants, you can zero in on a variety of styles that are one of a kind just like her and designed and fabricated by award-winning designers. She will never see “herself” coming and going.

Forget running to department stores for bargain deals; you get exactly what you pay. Make this the year you will remember her adoring smile when she unwraps your special gift, by giving a gemstone necklace and matching earrings.

It’s the gift that lasts because it is made with quality natural materials and someday she will have the pleasure of passing it down to her daughter or granddaughter.

Select one of a kind, just like the woman in your life and consider selecting quality fine jewelry made by Colorado-designers. You will have as much fun giving as she will have receiving. You can’t make a mistake by giving quality–and we are here to show you the difference.

What is Drusy?

Natural Rainbow Pyrite Drusy with Peridot, 14KY Gold

With several dozen natural and enhanced druzy pendants sparkling in Hunter-Wolff Gallery’s jewelry display, we occasionally hear,”What is Drusy?” Drusy is simply a thin layer of quartz crystals covering the surface of a host stone.  When mineral crystals such as garnet, chalcedony or amethyst form, there is sometimes a layer of condensed crystal points that harden on the surface of the stone. This translucent layer of tiny crystals formed in large numbers is known as a drusy encrustation.  Drusy crystals are often treated with titanium and oxygen vapor to enhance the drusy crystals for more vibrant blues, greens or purples while platinum can be used to create a silver or whitish hue. This application is a permanent enhancement and does not devalue the stone.

The colors of titanium-enhanced druzy are very hot and intensely bright; it shifts from a bright hot purple to a metallic deep blue with some shades of red. The colors differ with the change in the viewing angles for stunning pendants, earrings, pins and rings.

Whether you prefer Natural or Enhanced Drusy, no collection is complete without a drusy, and wearing Jewelry by Tana will make your friends say “WOW” and make you sparkle like the drusy you wear. Remember to always buy from reputable dealers like Hunter-Wolff Gallery for genuine titanium and silver coated drusies and other fine jewelry products.

If you panicked when you learned Calabash was closing, you can relax because we brought the highly coveted Murphy Originals collection from Calabash to Hunter-Wolff Gallery. When the former Calabash gallery owner Sandy Murphy announced she was closing her gallery, it came as a blow to our small business community. But operating a business and working as a full-time Jewelry Designer while balancing family and home is exhausting and challenging—there are only so many hours in the day.  Sandy is an accomplished jewelry designer and her work needed her full attention.  Now she focuses on her design and fabrication work and relies on Hunter-Wolff Gallery to reach you.SM-011L

For those who value high-quality metalsmithing, you will appreciate the innate grace and elegance, interesting shapes, textures, colors and impeccable workmanship in Murphy Originals. Designer Sandy Murphy incorporates clean lines, soft curves, and geometric shapes for sophisticated results. Her pieces often feature 22-karat gold accents, sterling silver, fine pearls and/or one or more gemstones, where the right color combination defines the overall design impact. Even her smallest scale pieces with subdued colors create a “head-turning” reaction.Titanium Druzy & Pearl

Do you love glamour and are ready for something special? Then check out her popular silver pieces with druzy, where the tiny, eye-catching crystals sparkle and glisten.  For more universal everyday wear, many designs are suitable for both casual and eveningwear. These pieces incorporate traditional elements that together create a classic look with a fresh new edge and are meant for the woman who isn’t afraid to have some fun with her jewelry while turning heads. Murphy Originals are engaging and really do turn heads!”
