Why do so many people come out for ArtWalk?

It’s fun. It’s free. It delivers surprises. And, you are guaranteed to satisfy your itch for great art! The ArtWalk galleries schedule important art releases and introductions to new artists typically in time for ArtWalk, and who would want to miss that?  Sometimes you can get a sneak peek preview of the new collections by stopping in a day or two before ArtWalk if you can get away from work or family commitments. 


Most art districts, including ArtWalk presented by Ent Business Banking in Old Colorado City, schedule their event for the first Friday of every month.  It’s easy to remember.   Repeat ArtWalkers say it’s a great way to start the weekend and wind up their workweek.  For 2-3 hours, art-goers stroll in and out of the participating galleries and can seek out artists for conversation.  At Hunter-Wolff Gallery, we always have 5 or 6 artists (with name tags) to meet visitors and answer questions.  We hold demonstrations too. One of last month’s local visitors said, “I really look forward to the first of the month and coming with my friends to discuss art with the artists.  What a great way to become more informed about trends and see how art is created.”


If you love art and haven’t been to ArtWalk, stop in and find out what you have been missing.  May 7 is another special ArtWalk evening at Hunter-Wolff Gallery — we are introducing a new artist, Fran Dodd. Her work is uplifting and cheerful and we look forward to sharing some cheer with you!  Mark down the date – May 7 from 5-8 pm.  Let us know about your experiences at ArtWalk, too.

ArtWalk in Old Colorado City is the best way! Every first Friday of every month, starting April 2, you can stroll through a dozen or so art galleries and check out new trends and talk directly to artists and gallery owners to get the scoop. Be sure to make Hunter-Wolff Gallery your first stop!  It’s one of the top galleries in Colorado Springs and you will get the chance to meet some of their award-winning artists. Whether you are a casual or hard-core collector, ArtWalk is great way to meet other art-lovers and pick up tips about collecting.

More than 400 individual artist’s exhibit work in Old Colorado City’s art galleries—the largest concentration of artists and galleries in Colorado Springs within three city blocks. Put it on your calendar now – 5-8 pm in Old Colorado City.  Parking is free, admission is free and the fun is free!  Make sure you wear your comfy walking shoes too!
