Let’s hope the status quo is challenged and looks different soon says some of our clients, frustrated with the economy.  I couldn’t agree more.  In the art world, it’s a term not often used.  Artists can’t grow and bring new ideas to the forefront without challenging themselves, improving their skill and developing new concepts.  What’s going on in the economy is something else; something we all can’t wait to see change and improve.

In the meantime, one thing we can count on is experiencing originality and beauty by collecting art.  Art transfers positive energy to our personal lives.  Being immersed in the art business 24/7, I sometimes take that for granted .  After returning from being away for more than a week, I experienced “with fresh eyes” what visitors see when they walk through the door. It was reassuring to feel a much needed escape from the status quo and so much positive charge among our collections.  I couldn’t have been more pleased to see new artwork hanging on the wall by Laura Reilly, Marlene Kort and some of our other dedicated artists. It was a wonderful reminder that we continue to offer what is important and needed in our lives to stay uplifted and positive about the future.  Stop in soon and see the new work now hanging by Laura Reilly—her work is always charged with energy, aesthetically appealing with a fresh contemporary flair and clearly provides the perfect antidote for the status quo.
