Rainbow Pyrite

Jewelry by Tana, Pyrite Pendant

Pyrite is said to resemble gold with its yellow-amber color. As a matter of fact, gold found throughout the world often include small inclusions of Pyrite. Did you know that gold is found in most pyrite deposits around the world? Like gold, Pyrite is traditionally the symbol for money and good luck and we hope it brings both to those who purchase our pyrite pendants.

Where is it found? Although it is mined throughout the world, in the US, Pyrite is mined in Illinois, Arizona, Colorado, Missouri and Pennsylvania to name a few. It is also mined in Peru, Russia, Spain, Germany, and South Africa. Rainbow pyrite drusy, like in the pendant made by our Colorado designers “Jewelry by Tana” are stunning and make beautiful heirloom pieces. One place rainbow or iridescent pyrite is found is in the river banks of Russia’s biggest river, Volga.
Some believe that pyrite offers many benefits to the wearer as it offers a mysterious energy shield, blocking out negativity from various sources. It is said to:

  • Overcome inertia and feelings of inadequacy
  • Energize the area where pyrite is placed
  • Overcome lethargy and fatigue
  • Increase the oxygen levels in the blood stream and improves the circulatory system.
  • Benefit the lungs alleviating bronchitis and asthma.
Whether you believe in these metaphysical qualities or not, it is a beautiful stone. At Hunter-Wolff Gallery, we know you will feel beautiful when wearing rainbow pyrite drusy pendants made by Jewelry by Tana.
