Pale Iris, 14x18 by Sally Hegarty

It’s not a surprise to find oil, watercolor and pastel paintings in most collectors’ art collections.  But what about collecting mixed media collage?

Finding an outstanding fine artist who works with mixed media may be a little more challenging.  Honestly, some mixed media collage paintings look a lot like arts and crafts and it takes a master to pull it all together for a fine art look.  If you plan to add quality artwork that is new and fresh to your collection, meet Sally Hegarty and discover why we would never consider her work “arts and crafts”.
Originally from Ireland, Sally and her family settled in Colorado where she studied printmaking, three dimensional art, painting, and drawing and became a freelance graphic designer.  While freelancing, she continued to develop her oil and watermedia painting skills. Today, she uses a combination of these skills for colorful mixed media collage paintings now on display at Hunter-Wolff Gallery along with 30-some other fine artists.
